Senior Director of Project Management

The Senior Director of Project Management leads enterprise-wide organizational and project management strategy to ensure the successful delivery of strategic initiatives. This role integrates organizational change management, portfolio governance, and business process improvement to drive measurable results, strengthen operational effectiveness, and enhance organizational agility.

The Senior Director partners closely with executive leadership to align transformation initiatives with business goals while building enterprise capacity to manage and sustain change.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide executive oversight of the enterprise project portfolio.
• Lead and standardize organizational change management (OCM) frameworks and practices.
• Establish and maintain PMO governance, reporting, and performance metrics.
• Advise executive leadership on strategy execution, change readiness, and risk mitigation.
• Oversee project planning, budgeting, risk management, and resource allocation.
• Lead business process improvement initiatives (Lean/Six Sigma methodologies preferred)
• Develop executive dashboards and portfolio health reporting.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
• Build organizational capability in change leadership and project delivery.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree
• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in project management, change management, or organizational transformation.
• Minimum 15 years in a management-level role or above.
• Proven success leading enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.
• Experience in public sector or large, complex organizations required.

Preferred Certifications
• PMP (Project Management Professional)
• Prosci Change Management (or equivalent)
• Six Sigma / Lean / Business Process Improvement

The salary range for this position is $130,000 – $140,000.
