Public Housing and PBRA residents pay 30% of their income and HACC subsidizes the rest.
Village Park Apartments is privately owned and operated. Residents of this development are required to pay 30% of their income in rent while the HACC subsidizes the remainder. Village Park Apartments is a mixed-income housing community with one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom project-based voucher (PBV) units. While Village Park Apartments is located in Waukegan, which is in Lake County, the HACC provides the subsidy in the project-based voucher units. Applicants currently on the HACC’s Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program waitlist will receive preference over other applicants.

The Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program provides rental assistance to help low income persons afford decent and safe rental housing. HCV Programs are funded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and administered by public housing agencies throughout the country. The Housing Authority of Cook County (the HACC) is the housing agency that administers an HCV Program in Suburban Cook County.
