Located at 5207 Ridge Avenue in Hillside, Hillside Senior Apartments is privately owned and operated. Residents of this development are required to pay 30% of their income in rent while the HACC subsidizes the remainder. Hillside Senior Apartments is a senior housing community with one- bedroom project-based voucher units for those 55 years of age and older. Applicants currently on the HACC’s Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program wait list will receive a preference over other applicants.
Eligibility
To be eligible for housing at Hillside Senior Apartments, maximum income and occupancy limits apply. For the one-bedroom units, applicants cannot have income that exceeds the very-low income limit of 50%AMI, which is as follows:
$42,000 for a 1-person household
$48,000 for a 2-person household
Maximum occupancy is restricted to 2 people per bedroom.

HCV Programs are funded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and administered by public housing agencies throughout the country. The Housing Authority of Cook County (the HACC) is the housing agency that administers an HCV Program in Suburban Cook County.
