Cook County Sheriff’s Office Brings Holiday Cheer to Seniors in the South Suburbs

By

HACC is proud to highlight a meaningful community partnership that brought warmth and joy to seniors across the south suburbs during the holiday season. Through its Senior Secret Santa outreach initiative, the Cook County Sheriff’s Office fulfilled holiday wish lists for seniors living in Chicago Heights, Robbins, and Ford Heights.

As part of the effort, Sheriff’s Office staff personally purchased, wrapped, and delivered more than 200 gifts to approximately 150 seniors. Gifts ranged from practical household items, such as microwaves, to comforting essentials like warm pajamas and sweaters. These thoughtful gestures addressed both daily needs and holiday cheer.

This initiative reflects the power of community collaboration and shared commitment to resident well-being. By working together, local agencies and partners helped ensure seniors felt supported, valued, and remembered during the holiday season. This is another great example of how HACC’s extends beyond housing placement by supporting and strengthening compassionate communities where our residents can thrive.
