September 20, 2017 |

(Cook County) – The Housing Authority of Cook County (HACC) announced that the agency will begin free shuttle bus service for residents starting on October 3, 2017. HACC residents residing at Vera Yates in Ford Heights; Bergen, Sunrise & Mackler Homes in Chicago Heights; Golden Towers in Chicago Heights; Juniper Towers in Park Forest; Richard Flowers and Edward Brown in Robbins, will be able to access the free shuttle bus service with a valid residential identification card.

The routes will run Monday – Friday between the hours of 10am-3:30pm with designated stops to area retails stores, a hospital and a post office.

“This is just another resource available to our residents who need transportation to the grocery store, hospital or pharmacy – especially as we approach the colder weather. Many residents are seniors and this service will help them take care of their basic needs ,” said HACC Executive Director Richard Monocchio.

Shuttle Bus Schedules will be posted at the family and senior sites and will continue until further notice.
