Public Housing and PBRA residents pay 30% of their income and HACC subsidizes the rest.
Poplar Creek is privately owned and operated. Residents of this development pay 30% of his/her income towards the rent and the HACC subsidizes the remainder of the rent to the owner. Poplar Creek (PCV) is a senior housing community serving people 55 and older with one bedroom and two bedroom units. To be eligible for the PBV units, the head of household, co-head of household, or spouse must be 62 years old or older and have income that does not exceed 50% of the AMI.

The Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program provides rental assistance to help low income persons afford decent and safe rental housing. HCV Programs are funded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and administered by public housing agencies throughout the country. The Housing Authority of Cook County (the HACC) is the housing agency that administers an HCV Program in Suburban Cook County.
